Sip & Stitch no. 49- In the Hoop Mini Notebook Cover

The end of the school year is approaching fast and with that comes teacher presents. For this Sip & Stitch, I will show you how to make an adorable in the hoop mini notebook cover from Designs by Little Bee. Melissa has made a ton of wonderful designs, and for this project I choose the Pencil and Paper design which I think will make a great gift!

This design comes in lots of options even though it is only one size. I will be going over how to complete the whole notebook cover in one hooping using a 6×10 hoop. I will also go over how to add appliqué to the notebook along with different placement options for the snap.

If your machine only has a 5×7 hoop, don’t worry because you can still make this project! It has to be done in 2 hoopings and it comes together very easily. My friend Bethany at Bethadilly on YouTube filmed how to make this notebook cover using this method. She has a Baby Lock Alliance which has an 8×8 hoop, but the same process she shows is done in a 5×7 hoop. Check out her video here to see the tutorial.
